¡Bienvenidos a la campaña!

Whether you’ve lived in Oregon for generations or you’re new to the state, your voice belongs in our democracy. The "De botas y Sombrero, Vota" movement is about bringing our full selves—our heritage, our values, and our pride—to the ballot box.

In Oregon, we make it easy for you to lead. Here is everything you need to know to get ready for the 2026 Elections.

🗳️ Your Power, Your Voice

Your vote is more than a mark on a paper; it is your power to shape the future of our schools, our health care, and our neighborhoods. We wear our boots to stand firm and our hats to hold our heads high—now, we use our vote to make a difference.

🗓️ Important Dates for 2026

YOU CAN ONLY PARTICIPATE IF YOU REGISTER

1. REGISTER TO VOTE

How to Register:

To vote in Oregon, you must be a U.S. citizen, an Oregon resident, and at least 16 years old (you will receive your first ballot when you turn 18)

  1. Online: Visit the Oregon Secretary of State website. You’ll need your Oregon DMV-issued ID.

  2. By Mail: Print a voter registration form (available in Spanish and other languages), fill it out, and mail it to your county elections office.

  3. In Person: Visit your county elections office or the DMV.

Step 2: Receive Your Ballot

Oregon is a Vote-by-Mail state! This means your ballot comes to you.

  • No lines, no waiting: Your ballot will be mailed to your registered address about 2–3 weeks before Election Day.

  • Study up: You will also receive a Voters’ Pamphlet with information on candidates and measures to help you decide.

🌟 Join the Movement

You have two easy ways to make sure your vote counts:

  1. Official Drop Boxes: This is the fastest way! Drop your signed envelope into any official ballot drop box in the state by 8:00 PM on Election Day. No stamp is needed.

  2. By Mail: You can mail your ballot back using the pre-paid envelope (no stamp required!). It must be postmarked by Election Day to be counted.

⚠️ Crucial Tip: Don’t forget to sign the back of your return envelope! Your signature is how the state verifies your identity.
